HOPE for North Port is a community development corporation that was created to provide services, volunteers and financial resources to organizations serving the poor and marginalized of the city of North Port, Florida.

who we are

HOPE for North Port is a charitable non-profit organization which was birthed out of New Hope Community Church of North Port's mercy and justice outreach to the city. For over 10 years, New Hope Community Church has been serving the poor and homeless in the area by meeting many basic needs through various ministries and projects. The reach and impact of these projects and ministries has continued to grow over the years. However, the needs in our city have continued to grow as well. With many of the social services in our region closing, due to a lack of state and county funding, the deficiency is greater than ever before.

HOPE for North Port was founded to serve the disadvantaged in our city on a larger scale than ever before by partnering with like minded business and charities while utilizing our large and sustainable volunteer base: friends and members of New Hope Community Church.

What We do

  • Community based programs designed to advance neighborhood and economic development for the unemployed and disadvantaged.
  • Holistic outreach ministries designed to strengthen and empower families in crisis, at-risk youth, the elderly, and others in need.
  • Equip and mobilize volunteers (members and friends of New Hope Community Church) to contribute their time, talents and resources in order to demonstrate the love of Christ across racial, cultural, economic and gender barriers.
  • Create affordable housing for low-income and moderate-income communities.
